Lost at sea as a child, Shandala was found and raised by a small tribe on the island of Lomalagi. After her surrogate mother was killed by outsiders, Shandala's once happy-go-lucky personality changed. She became Shandala Sponge, the cruel and harsh warrior princess. She rules Lomalagi through fear, and quickly gained control over all the Fijian islands. Now she has set her sights on Coast City, U.S.A. where she intends to use Biocom's worldwide network to enslave the entire world.
